Post Gaming headset
So yesterday I was talking to my brother and he asked what I wanted as a present for my birthday :p

If you've read the name of the topic you know what I'm going to ask for. Problem is, I have not even the slightest idea what a good gaming headset is, so I would like to ask for your help. It has to be:

a) large, because I have a goddamn big head and big ears;
b) cheap, because I don't wanna look greedy;
c) long-cabled, because my PC cables are kind of a mess and it's not in a very good position :D

Sound quality, of course, needs to be good as well.

I advise you to read through this topic: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=5902&hilit=steelseries

Lots of good suggestions there (Except the F4talities).

Oh, thanks, looked at both the Fatal1ties and the Steelseries(which are actually quite expensive). Probably gonna go with the cheaper option :D

Buy F4talities and you'll regret it the rest of your life.

Just tried my old ones again and it felt awful after my 5H V2's. Just don't do it.

:lol: The difference is, I'll probably never be able to compare them, so, compared to my 5-year-old Philips headphones, they'll be awesome :D

I'd rather be headphoneless or limit my eating for a month to get enough money for Steelseries headphones than put up with F4talities for perhaps many years.

I will stick to my Sennheiser still though, even if they are not the cheapest :3

SteelSeries Siberia V2's are excellent! However for long session gaming (and I mean v long session) + glasses are a bit uncomfortable for me as the constant pressure on my glasses begin to ache my ears.

I guess you don't like the F4talities then.

Your criticism of them is very harsh, and i would like to offer the other side of the argument :P

I for one love them, and every headset thread seems to end up with the same Steelseries vs Fatality debate.

I've used the Fatalities for nearly 2 years now, and have never had any problems, the sound quality is excellent for the price, they're comfy, and pretty durable. Mine have been used every day since i bought them, and i'm only on my second pair because Big Baller broke my first set in a drunken stupor.

Having said that the Steelseries are obviously better, a fact which is clearly shown by the price difference, so if you have the wonga, go for them. If not then the Fatalities are a great alternative.
