i have recently got BC2 and am really enjoying it.

however i keep on getting the error/bug where it randomly crashes to desktop.

anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

its becoming quite an annoyance now..

IS your bc2 steam or retail?

Also what OS you on.

its running through steam (as i brought it on that.. mistake?.. probably)

i have however turned steam-cloud overlay off for the game.

i am running on windows XP.

This may or may not work i just grabbed this from someone else who used it during the beta.

Try running bc2 via the bc2.exe inside the steam folder rather than through steam itself.

that doesnt seem to work.

plus its still playing through steam? any other ideas on how to stop it running through steam or any other fix's?

Update as many drivers as you can.

Seek out orthos prime or similar in order to stability test your system under cpu/mem load.

Can you get into the game or do you ctd at the menu screen?

Have you tried verifying the game cache?

i get into the game.

it CTD's randomly, i could be playing the game for an hour and it will do it... or i could be playing 10 minutes.


and yes i have verified the game cache
