Anyone reccomend any good Gaming Laptops that are out there?

Was kinda looking at the Alienware M11x but i aint all that great with Computer Specs.
And yeh i know that Desktop Gaming > Laptop but i wanna take it with me when i go on holiday or just chill in the living room.
My price range is under £1000, lower the better ha.

Wouldn't go with alienware tbh, overpriced for what you get.

Take a look at the dell inspirons - you can usually customise those no end - When I got my last laptop I called them as well and ordered over the phone - they give u a few options you can't get online

This one doesn't look too bad for £800 - i5 processor and semi-decent graphics card

Altho....it is 17" not 11" - but do you rly wanna play games on a screen that small?

There is also a 15" version

When you're looking at buying something like a gaming laptop you need to think about what games exactly you are going to be playing on it. No point in paying big money for something that can play crysis/dragonage origins on max when all you're gonna play on it is Starcraft and TF2.

I would suggest Dell also.. we recently bought a laptop from them and have been very impressed.

They are meant for small business users but you can buy for home use. Only difference is a 'company name' box to fill in when you buy online (just make something up), nothing else. The Vostro are better spec for the money and also have a discount atm..

The one we got was £600 (after vat), runs everything better than my desktop which was considerably more expensive, its light enough to carry around if you need to and very well built. Well recommended.

I also had some good experiences with Dell laptops and gaming...but when the grafic card got fried after the warranty ended it was all over

Unfortunately, these days the gpu chips on those vostros are next to worthless, you can get a same spec studio 17 except with a Moblility HD5650 1gb for about 50 quid more from the Dell home site.
