Re: Out of Range
I'd wager its overheating and needs a damn good clean out dude. Take the heatsink apart and clean it out.
If you want to confirm that before taking it apart download evga precision tool from www.guru3d.com and use that to monitor the temps. Double click the graphs in the window for the full readout. You should see pretty fast if anything is too hot. They really shouldnt be running over 80c, 60c is more comfortable. You may be able to turn the fan speed up with that too, not sure on the 8800gtx.
If you want to do an an upgrade, an ATI Radeon HD 5970 card should make you happy. My brother got one for (he says) around £100 but he's probably fibbing. Keep in mind tho, if you do go and buy it, you'll probably have to go and get a new PCU (650W w/ one 75W 6-pin and one (or two) 150W 8-pin. It does have two adaptors as well, so enjoy the dual-screening I'm in love with it atm as I play TF2 in full graphics with no problems (apart from my shoddy internet )

Dude, that card is £450-500. It's at the top end of graphics cards at the moment.
