Hey, so since a couple of days my PSU is doing some weird noise, I'm pretty sure it's coming from the fan. I thought bout cleaning it but after browsing the internet for a bit, I decided not to do it, because I would probably destroy it. Then I thought I'd follow Bedizens usual advice and hit it with a stick and it turned quiet. So what do I do now ? I don't think punching my computer is the best way to make it quiet.
for the love of god hold the fan still when you vacuum it or it'll bork. also make sure no large bits of dust become dislodged and bridge 2 components or it'll be the end of the whole pc

If its any kind of high pitched noise coming from it ....replace it immediately.
That happened to mine years ago and smoke started coming out of it mid game!

Should fix some of the rattling, although may cause further rattling.
New rattling may be of a preferred new pitch, therefore may be worth trying.
