The cpu cooler is the stock one. Also is there something to worry about the two diodes being borked? Also as far as I know there is some termal compound on the cpu. Gonna buy a new cooler since it's not that expensive and I shall see then.

tbh m8 i dont see anything wrong with you temps as they are, sure there a little bit high but that can be expected with an old pc. and no the borked thermal diodes are nothing to worry about at all, just that you can tell what the temps are in those places. try leaving HWmonitor on for a whole session, just minimise it. then it'll give us a picture of your highest and lowest temps. so wack it on, play some games n shit then see what your peaks are but tbh unless there in the 90's i wouldnt worry. its just an old rig m8. getting an better heatsynk would only cure the heat problem, dont expect any performance gains from it. you could tho (if your going to be upgrading soon) get the heatsynk and make sure its compatible with whatever your going to be upgrading to, so your not spending money for nothing.
