I did research on the net for this issue but no where to i find anything.

The gist is I can hear stuph cept for my own. When i fire or use a taunt or wut ever the audio never trigger but if other people do it its fine. Even remembers that i got custom sounds.

I removed the cfg files, cheked win 7 mixer, updated sound drivers, rebuild sound cache all to no avail

Any clues people ?


Also dunno if this is related. Game crashes WAAAAAAAAY to often. I try to create a map for practise, to play offline mode it crashes.

you removed the cfg files, but did you start it with the -autoconfig argument? that resets even more

I have a similar problem, I copied some custom weapon sounds and a cfg into my tf2 folder and now when I remove all the files I still hear no sounds..but I'll try resetting the cvars, forgot about that.

I ran auto config, it didint fix it but sure did shed some light. Apparently it cant locate the sound files

Try this one: Be shure to turn off steam cloud in steam AND ingame (multiplayer options)...worked for me strangely.
