Anybody else here have an android. I bet you do.

I've got a HTC Desire turning up tomorrow. Hopefully.

They sound like pretty awesome phones, and got fairly unanimous positive reviews.

In my opinion, droids are much cooler than iPhones. Then again, I'm distinctly uncool. So whatever.

Definitely interested in the possibilities offered by rooting, custom ROMS, etc etc etc...

So. Can you recommend any lesser know yet awesome apps? Just want to wave your robotic dick around? Then here is the place, just for you.

A mate of mine as the Desire, awesome phone. I'll probably be getting an android phone soon as well.

Orange seem to have pretty good deals in terms of all round contract.

I believe their UK coverage is fairly sound as well.

I've had to sign up for 24 months but... Whatever.

I bought a HTC Hero some time back; December 2009 if my memory serves correctly. Overall I'm still happy with the choice. I'm only having some mild regrets which are mainly due to HTC's update policy.

I'm pretty certain that I'm going to stick with Android for at least one more phone. The thing that concerns me a bit is the much quoted and dreaded fragmentation of the Android code. Last I heard HTC is even planning to launch their own counterpart to both app store and marketplace.
Imho such fragmentation is what maimed linux on the desktop and both MS and Apple are soon going to be laughing up their sleeves if it continues on Android at this rate.

Now have a comic:

I have an Android, to be exact a Galaxy S, I am not happy, neither am I dissapointed by it. Still I dont know if its the fault of the Android or the software or just a malfunction. Videos and pictures are awesome, but sometimes it still crashes..tbh I think its not a problem with Android then more with some software I installed on it.

Still, it has some bugs but its definetly getting better, Marketplace sucks tbh, just too much crap on it.

Feeling the HTC love here. Have a Touch Diamond 2 which is Windows 6.5 which isn't bad but definitely moving to Android next time, probably the Desire HD (although the new Windows HD7 looks really nice too).

Sorry I can't add anything on Android apps though mate.

I think I'm getting exactly the same deal - orange called me up this week because I'm due an upgrade. Going to be paying £25 a month for unlimited emails and 500Mb download and getting a HTC Wildfire - will make a big change from my Nokia

The only good thing about Blackberries is that you can giggle at the word RIM.
