I've been looking for a proper FPS mouse for a while now since I'm getting a wee bit tired of my SteelSeries MMO mouse for TF2. It's just too light for my liking, and it wasn't designed for FPS games.

I've been looking at the R.A.T7 for quite some time, but it's quite pricy - not that price matters, mind you.

Tried my mate's Zykon Z1 and I was quite surprised how good it was.

The R.A.T7 has what I'm looking for, but I still want to see what other options I have.
Can you recommend a good mouse for FPS games?
What mouse are you currently using, and are you satisfied playing TF2 with it?

Most responses will say pretty much the following:
Razer are great/crap
Logitech are great/crap
MS are crap
Generic ones are great/crap

Best answer, get to a shop and bribe them into getting some out of the boxes and get a feel on them, see if they fit your hand and you don't need to strech etc.

Personally I have a Razer Mamba and I've not had any problems and it works like a dream

My beloved mx518 died recently. At the same time our other solly got this mouse so i followed suit, we loved it so much we persuaded our scout to get it and now he's in love with it too!

It's the best gaming mouse i've ever used and i've used a fair few. It's not cheap nor expensive, somewhere in the middle but it comes with more features than the highest of high end mice. The build quality is very solid, it can rage with no issues.

You may have never heard of CM Storm, they're no el cheapo brand. They're a branch of Coolermaster who make some of the best cases on the market. :)

8-)

Also get a QcK Heavy with it :D

Very good looking mouse, Tom! You have to add me to your list of buyers. ;)
How big is your cut when you sell one?

That mouse is boss! Independent X and Y axis control on the fly, that is amazing. I will definitely buy this mouse!

I already got a Frost Wyrm edition (ya rly) mouse pad from steelseries, and it has served me well. Bit stiff though, but I don't need it any other way.

Nobody who has a clue what they are talking about will say MS are crap.

Always preferred the Logitech series of mice, currently using a G9x.

The rubber grips fell off my razer mamba after 1 year. I asked them to send replacements but they said they could only offer a replacement of the mouse. So I've gone down that route.

At the moment I've moved to a logitech G700. Which is top notch. :)

I got a G500 and I've been really pleased with it.
