I'm currently experience trouble with my graphics card I think it is, but not sure.

The problem is that when I'm watching youtube videos my PC will blue screen or say 'display driver stopped and has recovered'. The blue screen says something about uninstalling recent installed drivers.

So far I've only had this problem watching youtube videos, but have got me worried that it will appear when I'm doing something else.

What would be the best solution for this?

Have you updated your GPU drivers lately? If not do so and if yes reverse and wait for another release.

Sounds vaguely similar to a problem a lot of Radeon users had with 58** series cards. Happens when switching mem/core clock speeds as part of the powerplay feature.

Not really enough details in order to give any sort of decent answer.

My specs are:

  • MSi 870A-G54 motherboard
  • XFX Radeon HD 6870
  • AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
  • Corsair Vengence 8GB RAM

Don't really have a lot of information to give, sorry. Only seems to mess up when watching youtube videos.

I haven't updated my GPU drivers since I got my PC 3 months ago.

Will sound silly, but if you haven't updated your drivers maybe you should and se if that helps.
It will at least help to rule things out like a crap driver release.

I'm having exactly same problem with my HD 5970. Updating driver's to latest doesn't seem to help. :?

When i start up computer everything works fine but after some time alt tabbing etc. starts being slow, like 5 second from HoN to desktop and same time back. Then after while if im watching youtube or some stream it crashes and recovers and everything is working fine for some time again.

My problem usually arises after I start my PC after sleep (I think it's called) and then watching a youtube video. Might be an error with the card. :?

@Spandex This is just speculation but it seems to be a common problem with the Radeon HD series in general.

An update on my issue is that I haven't found a solution, per se. It only mess up after I watch a youtube video after my computer has been to sleep. So, from now on I will just turn off my computer all together if I'm AFK.

Trying to update CCC last night to improve performance in Brink something went horribly wrong. I got a BSOD just before the installation was fully complete which resulted in CCC not functioning properly anymore. Trying to access CCC from my desktop I got an error message saying it was damaged.
