The time has finally come where my pc is so crammed full of shit its driving me insane! Now last time i reformatted using windows 7 enterprise i was left with a load of old shitty xp folders i could never seem to remove (to this day). I was wondering if any of you technical boffins know of a program that will properly wipe my computer clean? Any advice you guys have on reformatting would be greatly appreciated also! Thanks |

Before reinstalling, please read NOTE at the bottom of my post Here you go: http://howtoformatacomputer.com/format-windows-7 Make sure you choose Custom (advanced) install in this window: When choosing a drive for install make sure you have all space unallocated (this is done by formatting all partitions as described in the guide) and then formatting the unallocated space (which you should have displayed by just only one entry) and then installing Windows on the newly formatted partition. NOTE: It is possible to preserve your files you do not want to delete by having a second hard disk while installing the windows on the first one, what is it that you want? Delete all or just have a clean windows install and preserving important files? If it is the first case, you may skip this note, otherwise don't format just yet and I (or someone else) will give more info on that. |
