Norton is a resource, always has been, although I haven't gone anywhere near recent versions so can't say for sure that this is still the case but it wouldn't surprise me to find that it still is. |

Well, I've bought mine here in Brno, Czech Republic so I doubt you will come here to buy it. One more thing, have you managed to do something about that dust? Has the elevation helped? If it has, then the cooler is the right idea. Could you give me some more info about your temperatures w/ and w/o the books, please? |

Elevating didn't, but I stuck a covered ice pack underneath and it's been fine! |

Just get that compressed air can from your local whateverstore already. |

Took the vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to the innards of my laptop (had to find the mini screwdriver from my Christmas cracker to get it open too), and it works again. I feel like a twat. |

Well, that was the second option, I didn't mention it (although I do that too) because some say it's risky to clean it with a vacuum cleaner and I didn't want anything to happen to your notebook. Glad you sorted it out. |
