just running the vaccume around my room and managed to rip the mic cable from my headset clean off. its at the junction of the phones and mic, so no chance of splicing it and still maintaining any sort of quality for either phones or mic.

i have been looking at the corsair HS1A's but the mic spec's are less than my old sennheiser pc330's. so any suggestions for someone that only uses the mic and?

also, be quick about it, i have to order today and cross my fingers it gets here for the weekend so i can still be 1/2 best commentator eu

the 360 haves pretty much the same mic as the 330 for almost double the price.

Do what I did; buy the cheapest one from Argos for about £7. Does the job... kind of.

You can get a Logitech desktop mic off amazon for about £10. I've got one, the quality's better than any headset I've had and it picks up my voice from across the desk. Lasts years longer than a headset too.

i have looked into just a mic but the logistics of having a mic in front of me just doesnt work and i struggle to find a good enough one that fits to the neck or head (and can be worn around the neck)

looked on the official site for that mic an there are no specs for it, i want a good mic. i know its only a 5er but its still needs to be good

I think it might be the one that Hitoshura has got. He sounds ever so slightly muffled but it is sort of clear enough.
