One of my friends wants to add to his SATA HDD and older IDE HDD just to have more memory on his system.

I installed them both but the BIOS only finds the SATA one and doesn't detect the IDE HDD. What's the problem and how can I solve it :D

I also plugged on that mobo an older DVD drive as well ( it has the ide interface too and it's not recognised by the BIOS too)

THX in advance.

EDIT: i forgot to mention that both the added hdd and dvd drives are on the same cable.

You will need to change the jumpers at the rear of the drive to set up Master/Slave assignment.

Ie HDD should be Master and DVD should be set to slave.

If you have space you should be able to add the DVD drive as a master on another IDE cable too.
