Brilliant! :) That's great news!
(WAV)
Currently it's set to DXT3, but I'll change it to DXT1 after posting this and force an update.
I also need to sort out the rendering some of the text.

Yes, the text seems a bit less smooth than I remember it. I'll see if I can do anything about that on my end; maybe sunday or so.

Have you seen it since the compression has been set to DXT1?

It's seems about the same to how it was when wine and VTFcmd.exe were being used.

FYI
The latest VTFs are always at http://www.thehh.co.uk/orangebox/tf2/ma ... m/hhrules/

The latest jpg is always at http://www.thehh.co.uk/mbpreview.jpg

I just checked on HH2. There seems to be no difference between DXT3 and DXT1.

It's certainly readable and the compression doesn't hurt it too much I think. Probably could be left as is already.

Nevertheless I'm going to see if I can tweak the settings a bit. Specifically there is that "Anisotropic" flag that was set with the old images. Let's see if that actually changes anyhting.

I'll get back to you with a new version if I discover any wortwhile tweaks. That aside I think we could almost call this project done :)

Give Llama a special reward on the servers for helping with this. :)

You deserve a kiss and a hug, and those can only be given personally sadly.

And a medal and a car and a house, and more for your hard work over the years.

I appreciate that sentiment and the acknowledgement [beer]

But I do not feel like a special reward is in order. There's people who have done more over a longer timeframe for HH that do not wear any special badge (and by that I do not mean frog alone). Therefore I don't think that a one time contribution warrants some unique reward.

It's nice knowing some code of mine runs on the servers :)

Some how that's what I thought you would say.

Most of the time just seeing it working is reward enough in itself.

Huge thanks once again. :)
