So basically these are the PC equivalent of a MacBook Air. Very thin, stylish, with SSD memory (and possibly an HDD too) and a lot of grunt for their size (4-6GB RAM, Intel i3/i5/i7 processor). I'm looking at getting one before I go off to uni (because Ultrabooks are way cheaper than MacBook Airs, funnily enough). Would anyone happen to have had any contact with them and be able to offer advice or suggestions? From what I can tell Asus and Samsung seem to have the best on offer. Thanks! |

No experience sorry. I would normally just paw endlessly over reviews and forum postings when researching a purchase. |

They're all based on a reference design provided by Intel, so pretty much you know what you're getting, so only real differentiators are the features you'll see on the datasheet, how it looks and the reputation of the company that makes it for customer service. Personally, I really like the look of the Dell one, (even though it's a Dell, they've nailed the design I think) |

Dell's costs almost as much as a Mac haha, but good shout. I've had really good warranty / customer service from Asus in the past so I'll probably end up there. Thanks! |
