Tonight I've made one of the greatest sins known to drawing tablet users, and that is to drink soda above my drawing tablet.

Needless to say, my issue is I accidentally spilled a little of it which landed just between the tablet plate and casing. I immediately grabbed a napkin (I didn't have any tissues on hand) to carefully but swiftly get it all off.

After I was certain I got all of it out, I tried using my tablet. It seemed to work perfectly, aside from one thing: On an occasional stroke it loses its pressure sensitivity completely, which is more of an annoyance than it is a disaster. I'm planning on contacting Wacom tomorrow to inquire if its possible to return my tablet with my recipe (it still falls under its warranty, I'm just afraid that they won't accept it because it was an accident and my own fault) for repairs. Now, I've ALSO read that people have opened up their Wacom Intuos 3 in order to wipe the any seeped in drinks away, but I haven't found any information that this is possible with the Intuos 4.

I wanted to post this on the Wacom forums, but it won't allow me at this time, so I hope someone knowledgable can help me out a little. I'm deeply worried about my tablet, and I'm afraid if they accept it for repairs I'll have to miss it for more than a month.

Okay, well: False alarm, I think. I've just plugged it back in, made a couple of a hundred brush strokes, and it seems to work just fine. Panic mode off.
