Post Disable hyperthreading without changing BIOS settings
Does anyone know of a way to disable hyperthreading in Intel i7 CPUs without going into the BIOS? My BIOS doesn't allow me to do it unless I mod it, which is risky and voids the warranty.

There is no way to disable it within Windows apart from setting affinity on the individual process to avoid HT cores.

What mobo is it?

It's a laptop, Clevo W170HN. I will try setting affinities, it's to reduce the microstuttering I'm getting in TF2 on this new laptop.

edit - setting affinity to one CPU worked, I will try adding more cores to increase framerate. cheers :)
