Post Where to buy PC Hardware
Quick question. Where do you guys go to buy PC hardware (Video card, RAM, mice, webcams etc) ? Mainly asking about online purchases, unless their are better range/cheaper prices at stores.

Not that there is anything in particular I want to buy at the moment, more curious than anything, and sure it will come in handy in the future.

On a side note can't believe how ripped off with VAT and customs duty you get when buying stuff from overseas here. In Australia the item has to be worth over £400 before you get charged either. Must make it hard to buy goods from overseas cost effectively.

I always start with http://www.ebuyer.co.uk to get an idea on price. (they have tons of customer reviews on most products too which is great)
Then check http://www.dabs.com and http://www.novatech.com to see if they can beat it (not normally)

Novatech is based in Hampshire, someone should knock them up about some sponsorship/group buy discounts Nudge Nudge

I'd tattoo it into my bicep if they replaced my rig with one that played TF2 maxed 80+ fps

As well as those mentioned by bumbandit, I also see if http://www.overclockers.co.uk or http://www.scan.co.uk have better prices. It's been a while since I've bought anything, though, so I'm not sure how competitive Scan's prices are now. Ebuyer and Overclockers are my favourites, though.

Gotta concur with Minty here, I know some people don't really hold Dell in high regard, but I just bought a PC without monitor (Vostro 200 Slim Tower) with Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Radeon 2400XT Graphics card with Vista Business, all for £220.

It's not totally amazing spec, for example it has a 800Mhz front side bus, and I'm not so sure if it's PCI Express v2 or not, but still TF2 plays really well on it.
