OMG, Shandy... Sorry, but that stuff is plain disgusting. I was shopping at Sommerfield during my time in Leeds and thought about organizing a "British" dinner for the international students in my flat, which was simply buying weird stuff I never heard about: Marmite, some weird meat, mint sauce and as drinks I bought dandelion&burdock lemonade and shandy... Nobody wanted to drink it...

Afaik 'Proper' shandy is made at the pump, from ice cold lemonade and, usually, bitter or lager (though my dad used to have Mild Shandy).

I confess to having had one pint of lager shandy in my life. I was at a camping event, it was august bank holiday, it was roasting like billy-o, and it just took the edge of anotherwise melting day.

Mint sauce should only be eaten with roast lamb.
Marmite is binary - you either love it or hate it, as they say. I used to hate it. Now I love it.
Dandelion & Burdock is delicious. Full of tasty yum.

For other 'british delicacies' try Black Pudding, Steak and Kidney Puddings, Mushy Peas, Haggis... hmm.. what else is there?

If you are calling us by each others names, then all you have to do is this: If you think you are talking to Sam, call them Nick. If you think you are talking to Nick, call them Sam.

The problem is he can't tell so he just guesses either one
