Post subject:  Tough Times.

I know this forum is mostly light-heartened, but I wanted to get some stuff off my chest.

Right Now I'm going through some good & bad times. In my mind, the affects of Bullying and me not believing myself are taking their toll. I keep feeling like I'm not worthy of anything good that is happening to me, and that when I do feel like I deserve it, I regret that later on. I keep worrying about my work because I was bullied because I actually try in school.

But then again, I have such good things happening to me. I'm getting a new PC (hopefully) by the end of the week, and me and my family have our house on the market and are looking to move to a larger place *cough*cough* with better WiFi *cough*cough* and I'm glad to finally be progressing in my life.

I'm glad to be accepted by such a lovely community, and by a supportive group of people. I'm glad that I've made friends here, and made my name known :) Thank you all for being my "backbone" :)

Chin up fella, school can be a shitty time. Some people just have to make others feel bad in order that they can feel good about themselves.

Always concentrate on the good things and continue to work hard. ( and get that cough looked at ;) )

The HH was my "safety net" as well during bad times years ago. :)

Don't worry about the people at school. Junior High (or middle school? Or something else? Ages 13 to 16 anyway) was probably the most annoying time of my life. It was just full of douchebags and people not interested in school at all so they were being pricks to others instead.

As long as you do your work and study well, you're good no matter what the bullies say. You'll realize years later that the stuff they said really didn't carry any meaning. The bullies will probably have grown out of their immaturity and you'll most likely never see them again. High school (or whatever the equivalent over there is) will already be much more mature and probably one of the most fun times of your life.

Things will get better. :D

I feel that same way.
Well...except I'm not in school.

Don't let them get to you lad! When I was in school and 13-16 I too experienced something like it... Not that I was the target but even if you are not it affects you. I was beating myself up about it every evening for not standing up for my classmates who were being picked on... I felt like a coward and less of a man(boy at the time). Me and a couple of friends starting calling the worst of the bullies "The Bully King" also when we talked about him with teachers and parents - yet nothing happened and he started wearing the title like a crown...

As you can tell I can't really say I've got any advise... But as Agent mentioned when people reach about age 17 they tend to be smarter, kinder and way cooler to hang around with...
I've only got 1 friend left from my time pre-16y.o. and I don't regret not seeing the rest :)

But I have got lots of friends now(maybe not lots but I've got what I need in close friends) :)
- Peace

Thank you all for your support. I'm just going to ignore these words that they say, and try to get through this all.

Me neither, but I'm always willing to talk about stuff like this with anyone who needs it.
Never know, something might come up.

I have the 'experience' after all ;)

I honestly can't say I've ever encountered this.
Never saw the same people but behaviors never changed.
Heck, not even in college.

Wish I had friends at all.
Never had any. Wonder what it's like.

Bullying in high school is a huge problem, I'm not really proud to admit it but I've done my fair share of bullying myself back then, it's really fucking stupid if you think about it.

Anyway, the easiest way to get out of this shitty situation is to keep your chin up, don't take shit from anyone and hit the gym. From my experience, no one ever messes with the guy who lifts, he's always considered cool, no matter how he looks like or acts. It may be the fear of having your neck snapped in a split second :D

Anyway hit the gym, take up a sport (anything goes) which will both help you being more intimidating and sociable, everyone will respect you a lot more after a few months.

I've had my fair share of low times and some. We might be a little mischievous around here at times but we mean well generally and are quite often around for those in need. All you need do is ask for help, we aren't psychic.

Might i suggest some tubthumping chumbawamba?

In all honesty though the reality is life might not get better sometimes life can knock you down and you can't get back up on your own. Do ask for help if this happens there is always someone who cares.
