Slumdog Millionaire: I'm not usually into these love stories but had to check this one out as it got so much praise during the oscar-time and I'm glad that I did. I don't think that I can say anything else about this, if you haven't seen it I suggest to check it out.
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man: A pure nostalgia trip for me as I used to watch this movie on VHS a lot. Now I just had to watch this again and I didn't even remember that Mickey Rourke was playing the Harley Davidson character. Anyway it's a bit cheesy and low budget at times but you could do much worse if you haven't seen this.
Ultraviolet: You might wonder why I even bothered to watch this movie with IMDB score of 4. I've heard so many negative opinions about this flick that I just had to see what the fuzz was about. I mean even though many people didn't like Wimmer's previous movie Equilibrium I found it quite entertaining and the scifi story was interesting.
So naturally as most of the haters of Equilibrium still enjoyed the action scenes, Wimmer probably thought that it would be a good idea to make a 1½ hour movie filled with that stuff. The plot was stupid and it felt like it was there only to loosely tie the action scenes together. There wasn't much character development either and even those little twists came out of nowhere and made me go "wtf is going on..." while watching.
Even the action scenes weren't that good. In Equilibrium there was a lot of over-the-top -moments but this movie didn't have anything else. I mean it is a comic book movie (I think?) but it doesn't look that impressive in big screen if you have no sense of physics and it's all done in green screen and CGI. I don't find that stuff impressing as I grew up watching Jackie Chan -movies, where he did pretty much every crazy thing himself and has broken nearly every bone in his body as a result of that. If you're looking for good stunt stuff and nicely choreographed fight scenes I suggest you watch one of his movies, like my all time favourite Rumble in the Bronx.
I liked the style of this movie as it looked like a comic book movie should (talking about screen effects) but that's pretty much the only good thing. Oh well, Milla Jovovich and her fit body is the second one and to be fair, 1½ hours is not that long a sit if you wish to check it out, but even if you're a Jovovich-fan I suggest you watch some of her better movies (like any of the Resident Evil -series or Fifth Element).
Watchmen: Fairly gay with all the tight suits and shit but I guess Rohrschach makes up for it.
V for Vendetta: Pretty good since society seems to become more and more like "different = dangerous" and 'people' generally don't have a spine anymore but 4chan ruined that movie for me.. Still, I like Natalie Portman.

The films are shit in comparison. For the ultimate lost in translation (Graphic Novel -> Film) try getting "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". The film somewhat glossed over all the murder and rape that went on.
One question about the LXG: Where the fuck did Dorian get the Golden Gun from "The man with the Golden Gun" James Bond movie? I've wondered that since I first saw the film.

Shoot Em up, see it now. It is so stupid but thats why its so damn good.
Transformers 2, If you watch this for the action alone then it's a brilliant film, nothing else going for it really though, but i'd definalty pay to watch it again.
