its one thing knowing the music, its another playing it rite. and the zep can never be cliche as they were pioneers, the same goes for clapton, jeff beck, bb king, floyd, hendrix, and gabriels genesis. the fact that you think that negates your aruement. it was people that came after that riped off their licks. and im not even saying influnced im saying ripped off

i dont claim to be able to play the music well, i'm saying that stairway is one of the (few) songs i know how to play, as does everyone else. Its lost pretty much most of its meaning as the epic height of rock just because of its overpopularity, the same way emos have lost all claim to uniqueness by looking exactly the same as each other. Music SHOULD stand on its own and not be subject to how often its played or how generic its percieved, but unfortunately thats not gonna be the case, else dizzy rascal would never have hit the top 10.

And floyd wernt that amazing, they had one good song
