so chris nolan is only doing 3 films? thats a shame, i was hoping for a more bondy thing. or maybe its for the best.

come to think of it it sounds like a good idea to keep the winning recipe and mix it up more over a longer period of time

Yeah that kinda surprised me too given the source material is so, so strong.

In that case I guess it's all been done already, but I still thought the films were a totally kickass contribution to the Batman universe.

Before this gets too nerdy:

Spiderman isn't in the Avengers film, and Mark Ruffalo is the Hulk in the Avengers, with little connection to Ed Norton's Hulk, let alone Eric Bana's Hulk - neither Hulk film was particularly sucessful, and the Eric Bana/Ang Lee film made more money of those.

The Amazing Spiderman came about because Sony didn't want to spend the money to get back Rami & Maguire, but they wanted to make a film in the time they still had to prevent the rights falling back to Disney/Marvel - which is why Spiderman isn't in the Avengers (Sony would want to get $$$$).
