Re: 30+hrs of recorded mixes & live sets from February party.
nice one frog been looking for same decent trance, but the stuff i find is always terrible, i like this punchy, pacey 303 business think ive been going wrong by not knowing about the genre name 'dark psy' lol
the one thing (sorry for tangent) why so high pitched kicks always? lol, is that just from playing them too fast? idk why you'd use such a poppy sound
also you should add an oldschool deep house room, herbert ftw

Ambiguous. Not sure what you are quite say or referring to. I refuse to believe that you have listened to all 34 hours, so I assume that you are not referring to above when you make your sweeping generalisation about the absolute ubiquitous presence, of what you consider, to be a high pitched kick. Or perhaps you have overlooked that you are listening to a transcoded stream. I don't have the time to upload 30gb+ of raw audio to soundcloud, so instead encode at V0, which is then available to download at that rate. The stream is a 128 transcode.

Why would I take suggestions from someone that doesn't come to the party?! That would not make sense would it?

thats not ambiguous lol, im only half way through the 1st geo set from your soundcloud profile (why i reminisced on deep house, its got some really nice minimalish funk in there), i merely did a mid point check of a few sets to see what flavour they were (concluding to start from the start ). its not a comment on these sets...its a comment on the genre, i've heard very few tunes that use the nice deep rolling kicks that i think work better, its almost always a poppy style, its just part of the genre i guess, but a little niggle ive always had about it.
certainly you are more clued up on this genre than me, however, and i eagerly look forward being wrong about the nature of trance kicks, if i am.
its also not transcode lol i can identify a kick sound even @ 16khz, as can anyone? idk. my speakers are very bassy
