That's actually quite sad. Used to subscribe to N64 magazine and then NGC when it evolved into that. Mind you that was back when I was a little Nintendo fanboy. Was an awesome read. Haven't read an issue for years like, but it was always nice to know that it was there in the background. Sort of comforting
Seems a few magazines have been going under lately. Recently America's Nintendo Power stopped after Nintendo had problems with their publisher, Future Publishing (I hope this doesn't affect Official Nintendo magazine over here that uses the same publisher)
I stopped buying gaming mags years ago. I used to avidly purchase the official playstation ones yonks ago, and tbh it was kind of sad watching them go from a well designed, informative publication to a shitty version of Viz as the blockbuster titles dried up. The demo discs always transitioned from a mean 3:1 ratio* of playables to trailers to 1:3 as time went on.
The last I bought was the PC Gamer Valve special, which was what, 2007?

Sure was I think Bud! Unless was a preview and in Valve-time...
Tbh, with PCG at least, alot of the problem lies with some of the freelanced, non regular Writers... Some of them are great and some, er, not-so.. (though a great way to get a foothold in the industry I imagine)
