Brilliant film, worthy of an Oscar easily, although the ending was a bit predictable for my liking...

Second best, only to Goldfinger.

TBH I didn't really rate the film that much actually, the best Bond's have the end of the world type villians - this one however...

Highlight was seeing the view from my office roof in the final scenes over looking London :P

And then going to work the next day and getting a pick in the same place!

I didn't like it. It was rather bland overall. Nothing that really stood out. The beginning was really good but after that... :? .

It felt slightly rushed, in certain parts, but it was excellent elsewhere. The humour was great, and in balance with action, the fight scenes were gripping, and the plots were outstanding. It's easily up there.

Just saw this tonight and I really liked it. The storyline and the feel of it was very much different to the other two "New generation" Bond movies, which was a nice change. Casino is still my favorite from these ones though.

Loved the way it was actually bridging the gap between these new movies and the older ones.
There was a comment and an explanation on the lack of gadgets, they used the classic 007 theme more than in the previous two movies, the car was a brilliant touch and the ending brought the series closer to the 80's Bond movies than in a long time.

Could be that these are in the movie just due to the fact that it was the anniversary movie, but I could see some of the more classic Bond elements gradually creeping back into the series.

It felt polished, perfected, thought out, a lot more than say, Royale, which was good too.

The villain, Silva, was very good, although things he could have gone into more, like the tablet which turned his insides to dust, weren't necessary, or they needed MORE detail. But the little things turned out to be big plot twists. And Q was amazing, to say the least.

The car, which was brought back in Solace, I believe, was a nice touch, but it didn't fit in particularly, as stated by M: 'Really? And this car is going to be inconspicuous?' *cue ejection seat comment*

Was gonna skip this until the last moment but will pursue now it's got some positives...

Loved Casino but hated the sequel (even forgot it's bloomin' name!)... was def one of those i was half awake for in the Cinema though so a modern Bond-fest is on the cards!
