WET FISH!
Now where's that new series of CHiPS, perhaps with a new food inspired title.
I think CHoPS sounds good.

Oops - looks like I'm following the wrong Rowan Atkinson, oh well it gave me the opportunity to post the wet fish clip.

Re: Whats your all time greatest TV series"
Like I say, not certain, but there was a fake Rowan going around earlier in the year who said it was to return in the autumn (and of course didn't), and I think most believe this is another/the same hoaxer.
Most seem to believe that Rowan is not a Tweeter anyway.
Anyway, I shall let you all return to the topic now...

Frasier and Niles were an amazing double act. I loved the first three or four series where there was friction between the characters, and the script writing was tight with some great performances from the main cast.
I think the quality declined as the series went on - scripts got sloppy and sentimental and the (new) writers appeared to pad out most episodes for the sake of syndication.
That's true Tiger, Daphne went from being rather dotty to quite urbane.
But some of the later series gave us some classic scenes though, the famous 3 Valentines with Niles doing his modern day silent movie thing whilst ironing his strides. The gay innuendo episodes, one with the chap from Star Trek and the one where Marty pretends Niles is his partner, classic Crane. It's what I call bedtime tele, I can put an episode on in bed and go to sleep in a good mood.
I'm working my way through Cheers as the bedtime tele of choice at the moment. That has it's moments as well, espically Coach, god rest his soul.

Re: Whats your all time greatest TV series"
Last time I watched Cheers it was off VHS and I missed half the dialogue because of a dodgy Dixons own brand video player . It was ace though (the show, not the Matsui - that was crap) and I found out recently that ITV4 are showing daily repeats, so I'm catching up on the earlier episodes. No coach unfortunately, but we do have a young Frasier Crane making his debut.
It's such a pity that the US no longer make sitcoms like this anymore - a central location with an large ensemble cast who just essentially spar off one another for the gags.
So many favourite Frasier episodes to choose from, but I think mine are probably chess pains and the episode where Frasier and Niles try to outdo one another with their gifts to their father for his 65th birthday. Quite a touching show which essentially deals with Martin's mortality, and how he recognizes it when he's reunited with his police horse which was bought for him as a present.
A very clever and thoughtful script, and a great example of the brilliant storytelling in Frasier.
