My thoughts on having a re-jig before a proper rebuild next year are similar to what we talked about mate.

One point on the 8800's though. They're the GTX OC model, not the Ultra. Pretty much the same timings as the Ultra as they've been factory OC'd and still have 768mb and 128 SP. That's £50 off the asking price though I'd imagine just for the badge!

What I'd thought is sell both of these. Grab that 780 mobo as an Xmas pressie for £70 or whatever it was. And with the £200 (realistic?) or so I make from the 8800's I'll just slap another ton on there and stick a 280GTX in there (£310) to tide me over till next chrimbo. Or maybe the 4870X2 if its a reasnoble price. At least I know they'll fit!

Although they both power-hungry heat machines I'm confident there'll be less hot air flying out of the back of my pc without the 2 cards churning out. I must admit I like the chunky design of the 280 too (Im such a GPU whore).

It's a real shame this machine didnt/hasnt worked out for me- I put up with some crap machines in the past and this was my moment of glory! It's by no means a slow machine though.

All rides on how quickly the GTX's would sell (I dont have boxes but have seperate driver packs and stickers) and the likelihood of it all selling soon- I've never actually sold on E-bay  .
They nice looking cards though and made by BFG. Would be good if I could sell them as a pair.

I could prop loan the cash if I could swear it would all go to plan...

***EDIT***
Great thought (on the john as all best ideas). As I'll no longer need the P5N32-E mobo OR the origional 4GB of DDR2 thats sitting around!
I could maybe sell as an upgrade kit- big up the whole SLi thing and pack it all to arrive so they can just slam it in their case with their PSU.
Good idead? or better to sell seperate?

You tend to get more potential buyers on ebay by selling things seperately, and therefore more money.
