http://www.cdaction.pl/seriale/speedball_2 Ever wanted to play Speedball 2. No, neither did I, but I wont say no to a free game. All you need is an e-mail address. I know it looks like a scary Russian site, but it worked for me without a catch, so if anyones interested, give it a try. When you sign up, they send you the cd-key and you can just add that to your account. |

I'd strongly recommend the use of a service like http://spambox.us or the likes if you plan on doing that. Otherwise thanks for the hint, going to give that a go I guess, game looks fun on first glance. Edit: Got the game...where's the catch? Just weaiting to get banned for activating a stolen CD-Key or something.

I've got a key sitting in my spare email account now. I'll wait a few days to see if you get banned before activating it.  Actually, looks shite anyway. Steam forum is full of hate and reviews are shonky. Edit: Did some research. It's legitimate apparently. It's a Polish PC gaming magazine. They did this for Dark Messiah a while back. Remove the /speedball2 part of the url and you can get keys to better games. Empire Earth, Nexus, Ground Control 2 and Tribes: Vengeance have all been played by me and found to be ranging from 'decent' to 'good'. Shame they're not on Steam. |

Sadly it's a dead game. Frogster, the company behind it went bust a year ago. All the servers went with that, so you can't play it online anymore. It desecrates the grave of the Amiga classic. Shame though, thanks for the heads up anyway Kifter. Edit: It is still possible to set up a dedicated server yourself, very easily. Windows only. |

Just played it over LAN (hamachi) with a friend and it works for what it is but the bugs...well, let's just say it's fun for a small (1gb), free game but nothing more. |
