Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City includes both The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony together and does not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.
Quote:
In The Lost and Damned, experience Liberty City as Johnny, a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the club's President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. Can the brotherhood survive?
The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

the new update makes it playable on lower engines. shame is that this thing is 2 years late.
I think that I can push my low CPU (pentium 4 3.2 GBs) and GPU (7600 Gt with 256 MBs) to play this. I mean after I buy my 2 gigs of ram.

The update this week did make a huge improvement on fps, mainly due to them getting the memory stuff right and improving even basic shadows. All deliberate timing really to ensure those that couldn't run GTA IV originally will now buy the episodes.

I would happily predict that that is not going to run it though, and I am never wrong...

But why would that be? I mean what's that big difference between 7900 gt and 7600 gt?

You could be OK Eraser, just found a video on YouTube running it on the card, so yes it will run. Depends if you are happy with the quality/performance.

I really don't care about how the game would look like. As long as I can play it there is no problem.
Also that video is before the update so I think that as for the FPS rate it will be slightly higher than in the video.
I hear that GTA 4 is all about the cpu, much like Source games. Going from my E5300 to my Q9550 gave me a massive jump in performance.

This new update and sorting out a problem I had with my CPU throttling means i'll give GTA 4 another go. Maybe some online of this would be suitable for a midweek madness event.
