Tbh I didnt find it as funny as everyone makes out. I recognised the humour, but I didnt laugh at it.

why does one think that humour applies to everyone ?
some find it funny, some find it unfunny.

is still a great game tho, i think i read sth about multiplayer mods aswell.

i never seen a puzzle game be compared to stand-up comedians before lol thats some dis-jointed shit im afraid.


best puzzle game i ever played tho, perfect combination of skill and noodle scratching, great atmosphere and personally i found it highly amusing in places, i would concider some of the humour in it as true black humour instead of the mainstream emo-humour that usually gets passed off as such.

but hey les claypool is possibly the world greatest bass player.....doesnt mean everyone should or does like primus :?

I'm going to say you're wrong if you think you can judge whether humour is good or bad. It was good for me, and it was good for thousands of other.

Was it good in an objective sense? I really do not care :) All that matters to me are that I laugh, and that I am amused, and then the rest of the world can be as bored of it as they please.

So it's really very simple; if you like the humour, it is awesome.

And I liked it very much, hence I think it is awesome ;)

I'm sad that you was not amused, but not so sad that I'll let it affect my amusement in any way ;) Now I feel like playing through Portal once more :)

There is DEFINITELY humour in Portal - The dry little comments that you hear in a level tone are what make it. It is very very subtle but that doesn't mean it's not there - for me it was always the intonations of GLADos that made it funny.

I loved the game for the innovative puzzle solving, combined with the humour - And before you start saying it's too easy - try the challenges...some of those are crazy hard.
