Difference is though, in TF2 you get a choice of who your playing with by picking a server. On the console you're thrown in with whoever happens to be playing at that time.
not on 360 tf2, the servers are listed and you choose which you want, granted they arent dedicated just dudes that host but you have a choice, its nothing like MW2 if thats what you mean. having said that tf2 is one of the only console MP games i've seen do that most are the shit MW2 style match and play crap.
my opinion is all in all if your only going to have 1 of the 2, i cant think why you would want the ps3 instead of 360, unless you dont have a PC or any other media devices. only if the exclusive titles make you think its worth the extra £100 odd plus putting up with those awfeul controllers but to me not worth it.
just off the top of my head but it will take me (at the prices i payed and can get stuff for) around 3 years before live sub adds up enough to make the 360 and ps3 equal cost. even at same price its a tough choice.

I knew someone would point that out I meant in general, and I'm assuming he was talking about the PC version of TF2 anyway.
I'm not trying to put you off, but I can't really see why you want a console tbh. I mean theres been occasions I've thought about it, but when I've balanced it out there isnt anything they offer that I really want.
There's a couple of games I might like to play but in the long run I don't really care so much I'm willing to pay a few hundred quid for something I wont use that much. I'm better off saving the money.
Buy what ever one you can see yourself playing more.
In my case
I got a PS3 for MGS4, nothing else really took my fancy at all and in hindsight it was a really bad waste of 400 quid.
360 on the other hand has a multitude of titles that i love and some of them are exclusive dead rising being one of them.
They both have an equal amount of Pro's and Con's (the whole blu ray, wireless, marketplace ect) But at the end of it neither console is a clear winner at all (the red ring of death is matched by the yellow light of death so both consoles have something catastrophic).
The only thing i can say is that when my 360 broke down due to the RRD, it got replaced with a new one, for free and they were really helpful.
