Okay i have been play testing the demo with different difficulties and here are a few strats I figured on dealing with a witch.I will give personal examples how I managed to overcome her in some of my games.


Primarily there are 3 ways to deal with her.



- Avoid her. The easiest approach and by far them most used.
If she is a corner where you know you will never return to then leave her be. However if she lies moaning in a place and you get ambushed by a tank and consequentially you have to retreat and startle her by chance then you are fucked. Always think if the place she is moaing in will be a place you have to backtrack later.

If leaving her is not an option then here are some ways to deal with her.


-If you find yourself battered and or low on ammo or have crappy weapons. You can either sacrifice a player (a) or kill her (b)

-(a)If you decide to sacrifice a player take the weakest link startle her. SHE WILL ONLY GO FOR THE PERSON WHO STARTLED HER. So don't get in her way. She will kill them and then runaway to moan someplace else. Just wait for the team mate to respawn in the nearest closet and make sure go remember to guide him to a place where he/she left if gun(if it was a tier 3 gun) and continue adventuring.

- (b) If however you decide to take her down here is what you do. Locate her, then locate the nearest closet. If she is the Subway finale area (with the minigun and barricades and stuff), or anywhere around it (I had her spawn in the narrow train carriage just before you ascend to the finale or
in the dark column filled room below it) you have to get the healthiest player who can run.
Startle her with a pistol or a molotov then RUN LIKE HELL to the nearest closet. the door should provide you enough time for other to kill her.
The other players have to gang around the closet and while she is hacking at the door kill her.

BEWARE: if the is not after you and you are in her way she WILL stun you with a shriek if you are too close to her. So stay away from her. You have to be about the range of a boomers puke range for her to stun you

With a medic healing you, I'd say that witches are pretty much cannon fodder.

wtf are you banging on about?

NEver try to engage a witch on Expert as she can take 3 headshots with the hunting rifle + 7 hits from pump action shotty and m16 fire aswell on medium though shes down in 3 shotty blasts

Note she doesent always kill instantly, i accidently shot one with my shotty at long range while aiming for another zombie and she ran at me took away most of my health bar and knoced me down sat there scraping at me hunter style before getting killed

personaly i think the best way is to shoot her from long distance then run behing your team mates so she has to run the gauntlet of your whole team (she will allways follow you) if she kills you she'll prob run off.

Aah delicious sandvich...

Hint: Witches hate fire, but she's still going to kill you. =)
