Here is a strat how to deal with a tank its not fail proof but it worked for me 3 times in a row without any casualties.


This strat MUST be used on expert.



So far the tank has some movement exploits you can use to down him w/o any casualties.

If he appears in an area with train carts, then use them.

The key here is that all cats have 2 exits, and the tanks will usually only charge 1 person at a time. So get in the cart shoot him, then when he gets too close exit the cart and head to the other cart exit.
Basically you have to run around in and out of the cart while shooting him. Thats the strat.

If you are lucky he will glitch and get stuck in it. Kudos to you if that happens but dont count on it. Keep running around and eventually you will down him.

Also DO NOT run backwards and shoot if he is too close to you. He is faster than you and you will be taken down.

Actually a health survivor can out pace a Tank, altohugh they always seem to spawn on me when im running on pain pills with only pistol ammo left

A thing you must avoid as well is when he uses his ranged attack. Its best to fight the tank in a obstacle area, (for instance, the room just above the train station with loads of pillars in it) for you can slow him down in this, and also avoid his devastating ranged attack.

He can crush the pillars.

dont remeber exactly who it was with but think it was gimpy and spinej and someone else we managed to down a tank on expert with only one death in the last seconds. How? Well not entirely sure but in wow terms we kited him for a bit then managed to out agrro each other before he managed to stun or cripple anyone. Again not really sure how we did it....just wanted to gloat a bit XD!

actually its quite easy to out strafe a tank, in the room with the pillars you can run backwards and shoot for a bit then turn and run round him a bit then turn and shoot, but make sure to always move sideways and keep shooting. also, my fave weapon is the auto shotty which is crap at long range but leet if you are confidant with your evasion skills if not just grab a carbine (if your lucky enough to have the weaps on the table).



oh btw the rifle is pointless on expert, you cant down a witch w/o her dashing you and the fire rate/ kill rate is pathetic in a swarm

I dunno i think we own the record for quickest killnig of a tank so far pillar room expert one of my 1st games and we got him in something like 20 seconds, did something similar earleir today aswell
