Ok this is the official L4D thread. Discuss about tactics, gameplay funny moments ect.

Today me, Extra, Fluffy/Slushy Queed/someone I don't remember played through No Mercy and second chapter and I got to say that this has been more than I expected.

*Minor spoilers*


The maps are desinged really well and blowing up the gas station looked really cool!
Sometimes it gets so intense and crazy that everyone is like "Shiiiit!" and "Oh my god!".

At the end of each chapter there's a huge "Boss battle" thing before you escape. Hundreds of zombies, dozens of boss zombies and a few tanks attack you from every direction and it gets pretty mad real fast, like at the Mercy hospital roof where you have to wait for the chopper to get there. After the chopper landed and the doors opened everyone started running while shouting "Get to the chopper". Zombies came from every direction and 25 zombies was coming for me just before I got in and the doors closed. Just so epic.
After the escape there's this awesome "Credits" thing before you get back to the lobby. There you see all the kills, healings, damages ect. I love the thing in the end that says "X zombies were killed during the making of the film".

Now tell us your experiences.

I died in the last stage of Dead Air and the rest of the team escaped.

The credits started of with 'In loving memory of -HH²- Akasazh [Hangmat]

I laughed

I played wif bots on expert of no mercy. Killed by tanks in the most hilarious way. Im there blasting away wif my autoshotty. I was quite beat up so couldnt run away. The bastid run up to me, and in one fell swoop i could see my body flying gllefully down the skyscraper. I lol'ed so hard.

Yeah thast something it is alot more demanding the tf2 tahn i 1st thought on the demo i had to lower graphics settings although it looked no different i could do with a better card for this but dont have the money to get a new psu

Most enjoying this after the 6hour download!

At first playing the demo singleplayer I just didnt get the appeal- but playing with mates just changes the game totally. Great fun- and it actually balances peoples skills well, with more advanced players being able to play hero and rescue the newer player.... different skill levels are no longer a barrier- in fact they add to the game!

I've still to complete the first Campaign- if anyone has yet to finish it yell when you see me playing.
After a team of us had numerous attempts on expert and many many fails I've just been playing through on singleplayer advanced to learn the levels.

Gimpy invited me into a VS match which looked like a big bunch of lols... I wasnt sure what was going on though, and didnt want to spoil the later campaign and its pretty outdoor maps!

Fun though, and will definately join in future battles on levels I've played.

You know the No Mercys part where you go to the elevator and the characters say something funny while you're going up?

So far I've got Zoey saying something that it's bullshit that the zombies are so fast and this:

Francis: Those vampires are not going to eat me.
Bill: They're zombies Francis.
Francis: What ever.

That really cracked me up.

I'm downloading it now , but if anyone wants to show me the zombified ropes sometime I'd appreciate it
