I played on them yesterday after getting it from game, but something must be broken somewhere.

We played VS mode and when it ended we got moved to another server, when we went to move back none of the HH servers were showing up.

And were going for at least 20 miniuets.

There is nothing broken with regard to the HH L4D servers. The perceived problem is due to L4D lobby system.

The best option is to either select to the play on a server related to our steam group or join a friend that is already playing on our servers.

Oh one thing i should probaly note is that a 100 - 200 ping even to HH servers is normal on l4d for some reason but someservers are awful and kick you off for having above 100 which is bloody hard not to do onthis game

mmmmm thats wierd, i get 40, but then again i get between 5 and 20 on the tf2 servers so it is about double

Now we know what each server defaults to it'll be peachy. The larger hordes on the HH servers certainly seem nice and smooth

Out of ignorance- how do i display my ping in L4D? (someones going to tell me it's just 'showping' or something in the console now arent they?)

Oh and the 4hr TF2 patch? Wrong OS, full install. Doh!

I haven't played on the HH servers yet as most of the time they're either full or playing versus mode... and I don't want to play versus till I've completed all the campaigns and learnt the layouts of the maps

if the hh servers are busy

try using

sv_search_max_ping 75

when the leader of the lobby so the pings are nice rather than the normal horrid 1s

We know the HH servers are not the problem frog, the lobby system is obviously under a lot of strain and hardly ever works. I can hardly ever see the servers next to my "friends playing list".

Can someone explain to me in retard terms how to find them and use them to set up a lobby if that is the case, Mehby always seems to be able to find them. What is this sv you talk about, how do I open it, blah blah.

I think it's been fixed now (Ares talked to Frog this weekend and sorted out the vs/4 man confused server), but we definitely need 2 dedicated vs servers. Possibly even 3... But I don't know how much use each of them is getting.
