has anyone else noticed an influx of foreign speaking peeps on our vent channel?

i keep poping on now and again and its full of the lil' blighters. its normaly ok when there in a channel but its quite annoying when there all in mumble. this post isnt a cry to get rid of them cos fankly its no biggie, i was just wondering how and why?

Yeah, that's because we advertise our server so others can use it too.

i assume the ad's are in english? just wondering why would people join our server when im sure there are many more in their native tounge

yeh i definitely agree with minty. if you really care then it wont hurt to sign up, it only takes 2 secs

disagree with you completely. it is always mostly empty. you have only logged in 7 times in the last month and then hasn't been full by any means.

last time i checked we run public servers, this means that anyone can join.

ventrilo very very rarely ever gets used by anyone in the community, therefore your point is moot.

as i clearly said before, its no biggie, i was only wondering. Also, i check who is on vent before i connect, via our homepage, if noone is on then i wont connect. Btw i was only stating an observation not calling for a revolution. If i knew it was going to offended i would have kept my mouth shut because again, its no biggie. I still agree with minty as its another way to rope people into the community. Signing up is a small price for a free service

If tf2 and l4dull didn't have the level of voip that they have built in, then i think more people would use Vent.

Like anything though, people don't want to join an empty server, be it game or voice, which means it get used less and less...
