Quick question:

I want to buy Left 4 Dead for my Account, but there is only a Cut german version, so i thought I'd buy it in the UK. Will it still be cut, if I have Steam on German( needs to be german for TF2 Uncut patch), cause the censorships works IP wise or will it be uncut?
I know there was a thread about this on the forum, but can't find it anymore.

My understanding is if you buy a DVD box from the UK to be shipped to you, it will be the uncut version. The censorship isn't IP address based I don't beleive. If I took my rig to germany, I'd expect that my games were not censored.

Yeah...if u get it gifted from someone in the UK it should be uncut but no guarantee...the only way to make 100% sure is to order a boxed copy.

edit: but to be serious since when did steam start editing thier games. i rember i bought all my valve related products on steam and they are all uncut. funny tho l4d is now sorta patched i mean the vid i get in the loading is the german censored one but the game is completeley unharmed.

Valve have to edit the games to comply with German legislation. If they didn't they wouldn't be allowed to sell the games in Germany.

Its a lot like Austraila. They have no 18 rating so many games get banned (GTA3, Manhunt, Getting Up) or get cut down to get a 15.
