I got the uncut UK version and had steam on engliush, now i changed it to german and its downloading stuff, you think its a cut patch?

i just changed steam to german( tf2 uncute patch wise) and it starts downloading, i stopped cause i dont wanna ruin my game.
or could it just be the german sound files/map thingys?

Could be an update....could be replacing all your files with the german no gore version.

Also, I think you really should have bought a dvd copy of L4D from the UK. Valve/steam can easily detect you are based in germany and control what you download, even though you bought a UK version.

likes everyones said, the only way to find out short of googling for answers is to play it.

I'd expect the german gore free version to have different texctures etc, so could quite easily be a large file that gets replaced..

Well in my experience, its downloading the localisation, when I changed TF2's language to French for the lols, it had to download all the French stuff, which took a while, and I couldn't get back in game to change it back to English.
