That is pure win. Pure, distilled win!

Played through the Power Station map with a couple of us HH guys todays.

At first I was a bit skeptical with the booby traps and gameplay, but eventually the map really grew on me and I enjoyed it until the finale, which was a total piece of bullcrap... I mean come on, half of the game is "scary sewer thingy/evil fortress/mad scientist lab" and then the ending is "sunny boat ride".

Noas ark yeah.

Really loved the map, played it twice in a row. The traps were funny as hell and I was always scared of pushing buttons.

how do i play these maps

Only way atm is if an admin loads them afaik.

This is really only the first wave of maps done without the support of full SDK modding tools (so imo they are average at best), a beta of it has just been released and from now on we should start seeing quality custom content.

Then in a few weeks(???) time Valve will update the matchmaking system to fully support custom content so any end client can play what they like.

if i goto:

programfiles (x86) >steam>steamapps>common>left4dead>left4dead>maps>

..then open the .bps file for which ever map i want to play, i can play the custom maps (can also open maps through the console).

multiplayer is possible if i host a game locally, then open console and type (example): map l4d_deadcity01_riverside
