You know what's funny? Everything in that sequal bar some features of the new AI director could be made with the l4d SDK...if they released it, but somehow I guess 4 new maps don't sound as exciting when you have 50 community maps for l4d 1 |

Can't say I'm exactly thrilled about the idea of paying out more money on a sequel to a game that will only be just over a year old.... but it is L4D so I will...  ... looking at it from the developers point of view it makes sense to me that they'd do this rather than release updates. It's difficult to compare TF2 and L4D because of the different styles of gameplay. L4D is built around the campaigns, you wouildn't expect a single player FPS to suddenly start releasing huge amounts of new content, no they just make a sequel. I'm not saying it's right, it's just the way it is... also a certain part of me is happy about it. TF2 is starting to look a bit ...erm.... 'pieced together' now that they've had so many updates with the inventory, various weird new weapons and loadouts, awards everywhere and the legendary random pickup system.... Has kinda lost that 'cleanness' that it had when it was first released... just 9 classes, standard weapons and simple maps... Maybe the new L4D is trying to avoid all of that and make a game with new content that feels like something new and all works smoothly together... and maybe they'll sort out that damn lobby system too!.... .... having said all of that, the gameplay video doesn't exactly look revolutionary.... |

Fellas Fellas Fellas!! Relax you are going at it with the wrong mind set methinks. Coz lookse here at the big picture. L4d was a maverick an oddball, a spurious anomaly and it could have been a flop. There were a lot of places that needed to be patched and some fine tunning had to be made after valve was done relasing it. Now since Valve learned form thier mistakes. And realised the goldmine of potential within the game, NOW they are gonna polish it to sparkling diamond to be stolen by the licked of Mr 47. Hence i see it as a dawn of a new era the second coming of black jesus if you will

How much did the Half-Life expansion packs ("episodes") cost when they were released, a year after the originals? |

As thrilled as I am by the prospect of shooting Zombies in the bayou (fnar), why are they developing L4D2 when they could be concentrating on HL2E3 DAGNAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I will be happy as long as they keep the 4 characters from L4D along with the new ones from the L4D2 trailer. Pray harder. |
