Something in that interview made me think that maybe, just maybe, the original charachters from l4d got infected with a new version of the virus and are going to be end of level boss zombies

The Hater - an Infected who retained the ability to speak and constantly announces how much he hates his new form, the zombie apocalypse, the survivors, the boomer's smell and everything else.
...I still can't imagine myself taking L4D2 seriously when it has the Scout bludgeoning zombies with a cricket bat. Sorry.
