Re: so... reviews?
What about Versus and matchmaking?
Campaigns are fun to do in co-op twice...Once to get acquainted, once on expert. Past that point, which is likely to be at the 10 hours mark, you will be playing Versus. It's importance should not be underrated.
Whereas it was in the original. Where it was terribly flawed, I might add. One of the reasons the game lost popularity so fast that it was nigh impossible to get enough people for a friendly Versus match only three months in.
Which brings us to why a Versus game mustn't have had any randoms in it - matchmaking. People quitting left and right, on both teams - if you managed to play a game from start to finale without most of the teams changing at least once, then you should see about buying some lottery tickets. Team automatch was promised but never came, and Versus is borderline worthless without it...
I dunno i think realism and vs have enough to keep it going for some time maybe you're right though.. coop games seem to lose interest after so long. I still havn't tried survival to see if they've changed anything, but we shall see

Re: so... reviews?
Cant help but get the feeling this would be great fun 6 vs 6.
Still haven't tried scavenge or realism, enjoying versus when I can find a good game, full of twats, rage quitters and griefers already though.
Bored of co-op after 2 days.
Emberstrife nailed it imo. The community will make or break this game, but it needs valve to implement team matching.
