I got 'The Real Deal' earlier yay, (the cheev for expert realism) thanks Patch and Sheds. :)

Patch got robbed by a crash of it and Sheds died just too far out of reach as we were ready to escape so missed out too, we didn't know where he was incapped and neither did he lol.

Dead Center is by far the easiest I've tried so far to get this on due to it being short and the nature of the finale.

you think dead center is the easiest?
weird, i found the parish was the easiest, since you dont need to do anythin like getting fuel together, you just need to run and watch out for your teammates.

Dead Center is by far the easiest for expert realism mode imo. On Parish the last tank often spawns right in your way of the chopper. Plus the finale is quite long till that point, and it's a 5 stager not a 4. ;)

Dead Center you can throw the cola up onto the side and then run around with the whole team without carrying it so you can all fight, making this crescendo a good deal easier aslong as you get the throw right. If you don't touch any of the lower cans on the finale and head upstairs and throw all of them down first. Then go into a loading phase throwing pipes and pukes to cover and you can get out around the time the first tank shows up if you are fast enough and get it down right.

Not to mention the bridge finale is very hard to do in general

Dead Center has some pretty weird issues I encountered - such as infected(both normal and specials) spawning on a player's head out of the blue(one guy had a tank spawn on his head while running for the fuel, it did not end well); special infected spawning in packs of two of the same(two chargers, two smokers, two jockeys...); and others.

They're pretty rare bugs, but they can mess up a perfect playthrough repeatedly. One time, we couldn't even complete the Mall after about 10 attempts, because infected kept falling onto our heads from apparently nowhere. This is the only campaign where I ran into such problems.

Dead Center has easiest finale. I found Swamp to be the easiest campaign of them all besides the finale, but the doubletank at the end, where the tanks always split you up, sounds waaay too difficult with Realism.

I dare you, I doubletripledare you to play Hard Rain on Expert with Realism. Losing teammates when the thunderstorm blots out your screen and voice chat, never even finding their bodies, is the best feeling this game provided to me. Especially if the guy lost is me.

Hard Rain is the first campaign I've completed with expert realism; then again I am rather good at compooter games.

I'm loving it myself, being that we play it at least 1 full 3 hours of VS a night :)

But, there are a few things which are not game destroying, just annoying.

A few maps appear a little too bland and void of interesting things.

The daylight aspect, while new and different, detracts from the horror atmosphere your suppose to be in.

The witches are not the death dealing cows they are suppose to be, crowning is just too easy, but the wandering aspect of her has made her way to easy to just avoid, and even in the off chance you do startle her, she gets lost near enough all the time.

The introduction of the tier 3 weapons makes mince meat of a tank and witch.

Melee weapons, while I'm all for em, basically make the whole melee spam redundant.

Bugs with the smoker that were fixed in l4d are back and have been passed onto the charger aswell.

Boomers hit boxes are up the wall, sometimes you can hit someone right in front of you, sometimes you don't, it's just the luck of the draw i guess.

But these are really minute in comparison to everything that's right with it

People are reporting that gravity is slightly higher in 2 over 1, can't really confirm it myself yet. But a lot of people are saying this is affecting things like boomer puke and you have to aim up higher than you would've in 1. Something to try I guess, if right it would have a knock-on effect of making long distance hunter pounces harder (I personally have rarely seen 20's in 2) and tank rocks require more lofting.

Well I'm a bit disappointing to hear that it's the same as L4D1...

The game started with an amazing premise, it was gorgeous, the zombie killing was fun, everything great.

A month passed, people learned how to play, game breaking bugs showed their ugly face (hello tank spawning in fire, smoker not gripping people, boomer's drunken aim).
Problem was that survivors are overpowered, tier 2 weapons in l4d1 are amazing, they can do anything, kill hunters mid leap from a 25 pounce spot? no problem, you can even do it with a shotty, hell...there's no point in using anything BUT shotty.

But I digress, for the sake of your money, if you're thinking about buying l4d2, wait until the first DLC comes, it'll lower the price to 50% and you can expect a lot of bugfixes by then.

I love the games, love both of them but so far it looks like the sequel is following in the bad footsteps of the first :P

The Smoker/Charger bug is limited to "grabbed" survivors clipping into small ledgers and such, preventing you from dragging/carrying them any further. It's annoying, but you just learn to avoid attacking in such risky spots, no big deal.
