Post One-man Expert Realism Dark Carnival in 20 minutes.
You heard that right.

The guy doesn't get hit even once up until the end of the 4th level.

This guy also has Expert Realism speed runs of all other campaigns as well, but goddamn - Dark Carnival ain't no cakewalk on Advanced with 4 people, and he did a flawless run alone on Expert Realism. Can you say one man cheeseburger apocalypse?

Meh. Something doesn't seem right about those runs. Like he has permanent Adrenaline boost effects or something.

I also doubt its one complete run through and is rather the best speed run of each level stitched together.

Yeah, it isn't just one run through. If you've tried one-manning expert campaigns yourself, you'd know that sometimes the AI director just shafts you and there's nothing you can do about it - like it spawns tanks during infinite horde crescendos, or right in your face; a jockey drops on you on the roof; the survivor bots get stuck; etc.

He obviously did it in one sitting, though. Note that the amount of health he has is consistent from level to level - taking no hits in the first 4 levels, then getting hit by a horde by the end of level 4, and starting with same health in the finale.

Also, did I mention it's brutally hard to make it across Dark Carnival's crescendos even with a full team?

I know it is, hence why I think something is up. Theres a distinct lack of hordes in that as well considering its an Expert campaign.

Shady fiddling of the config files?

Having a hard time believing this also...

The distinct lack of hordes is because he is rushing. If you've played Team Versus, that's exactly what most teams do - run without pause and shoot as few zombies as possible. It results in no random hordes and next to none random zombies after a while.

Deja vu to L4D1.

Fire up an Expert game with bots and try it yourself. If you run like mad, you'll find yourself pretty much alone after a while.

[Highly valuable post about the importance of legitimate speed-runs' effects on today's society worldwide, and sex with women]

[Rebuttal; witty one liner comparing Fluffy's sex life to that of an unsuccessful speed run]

Wouldn't it in fact be a very successful speed run?
