Disneyland attraction "Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye" has been recreated by a modder in zombie first-person-shooter Left 4 Dead 2.
The name? You guessed it, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Zombies. It does feature zombies, but the walk through in the video does not.
It's part of a modded map pack for the game and as a map itself, it doesn't look like it would be that exciting to play as it's linear. However, as a work of digital art, it is extremely impressive. The map has been lovely created with acute level of detail. Some parts of this map actually look better than the real deal. Some don't, but those are the breaks.
Temple of the Forbidden Eye is a favorite of mine. Honestly, I enjoy standing in line for it as much as the attraction itself! It opened at Disneyland in 1995 and even features John Rhys-Davies as Sallah.
Co-op shooter Left 4 Dead 2 was developed by Valve and released in November 2009.

Re: Disneyland Indiana Jones Attraction in L4D2
Awesome! Saves me a trip to Orlando! (j/k ofc.... I'd love to go! )
Considering the level of mod work It's still a shame they didn't get rid of Nicks constant 'Heeyylo?'s but still fair play to them. (Can't see anything in the map that couldnt be done in the HL2e2 engine... but I've not had a fumble with the L4D sdk yet)
But man, they clearly had alot of love for that ride!! Even down to the photographed warning posters...
I've been having a massive theme-park obsession recently so I welcome the chance to rant! I'm a sucker for rollercoasters/rides but so rarely get a chance to go experience them... Have such good childhood memories connected to certain rides too (If you remember 'Captain Blood's Cavern' in paulton's park then you are a true Hampshireminarian!... I dare any of you to remember that ride!!)
hoping to bribe my younger sister to check out 13 or one of the new 'scary' ones- purely so I can be let loose in an amusement park
Anyone remember 'Alien War' @ the Trocadero where i paid homage several times while it was running. That would make a nifty little mod. -It was trialled in Bournemouth, near me, (basically under a load of ply-board and sheeting but looked amazing inside ). So I was a proper Veteran
I was funny. You'd have the London burly rugby types going in after some drinks and having a laugh and a joke at first... , As soon as we were left alone by our guide and all goes to hell in the corridor, resulting in a full Alien suit running at them in strobe they soon ran screaming like girls, punting 10 yr olds aside this way and that! heheh... let alone when it grabs one of them out of a lift
I'm honestly not excited about the 'Harry potter world' coming to england at all... I promise.. not escited at all (ala 'wizarding world of H.P.' in Orlando... but better, I hope!). It's rumoured to replace the location of the old studios and all the sets that have built up over a decade Plenty of stuff for them to work with- and no American accents in Hogsmeade!
For a fan I reckon even the 3 rides in orlando (and the possibilities for interesting queuing they've implemented, with moving paintings and the like) look pretty damn cool also. Wish my lil' sis was a HP fan I'll have to just be a sad over-30 in my wizard hat, all cloaked up and awash with Butterbeer
I remember queing for 'Proffesor burp's Bubbleworks' @ Chessington when it opened being a really pleasurable experience!... at that age the Candy-smells and the music was enough to pass an hour or two of the queue just fine.... So it can be done... Oh and then you had the Cave with the organ player for 'Vampire'.... Whatever happened to Chessington anyway?
HH Theme park meet one day My closest is Chessington, Thorpe, Alton
has to be alton, anywhere else is fail. oh and its best to go when its pissing down with rain.. no q's
also they now have one of those in the disney land in LA and a small one under a (cant remember which) hotel in Vegas but i do remember it being fairly close to a rainforest cafe... hmm

Thorpe park has got better now dude... I know alot of the rides are 'fairgroundy'... which i hate.. but since Stealth (pretty fun) things seem to be on the up... http://www.thorpepark.com/rides/full-ride-listing.aspx
Apparently you have to sign consent forms and all that for Saw cos people have come out and totally lost it... lol ...cant imagine the ride lasting long though (the live one)
Alton a bit more central too (and generally better) I guess though dude, fair shout
