I'd forgotten that it's my footy teams first pre-season training session tonight, meaning I'll be getting back around 8:15. If this means I'll be holding up proceedings, please feel free to replace me.

As it's going to be a regular fixture, going forward I might have to drop from these matches as I won't be able to play until around 9 realistically.

I'm not looking forward to training, I sense vomit at the side of the pitch probably 15 mins after we start!

Sadly all i can say about that was, total shambles.

Whats the point of people putting in the effort to set up these nights, so people don't have to deal with PuGs for one night a week, when people turn up a over a hr later and think its fine to just jump in as and when they feel like it, people don't stick to the class limits and genrealy make the whole experience a nightmare.

I really did not enjoy the game at all tonight, the whole of the first map blu was clearly carryed by patch being a spy, (i found this extreamly unfair to be honest) proven as soon as patch went afk and we dropped a player to make it even, we cleared the map and won.

On a good note i like to thank the red team for lest making the 'game' a laugh on coms and genreal putting up with me rants :D

I thought the whole game was fantastic tbh. Well balanced teams, good company, good teamwork (for the most part ;) )

'Patch carried our whole team' Maybe you're just bitter because of all the times you were stabbed. I had 20-30 more points than the next guy in our team, I was a fantastic medic, I'd like to think that although Patch was very useful and saved us from many close I was the main 'carrier' of the team :P
Saying that its 'not fair' to have a decent spy on our team is ridiculous - spychecking isnt rocket science you know.

Right, sorry but I need to half disagree, today was good, and I know Alan put a lot of work in to getting it sorted - so Thank you Alan!

The blu running 2 medics on the first round was surprising, more so when they had 2 clanners on the team, and it was a 6v6 at that point.

Totally agree about the turnnig up late 9.15 is well late to be turning up, and joining a team straight away is just rude - at least msg someone you know and find out whats going on and if you can join!

And I'd like to make a suggestion, and Alan might copy me if we post clash, could we say that if clanners play they are not allowed to use their main class - so patch would be spy, ntrailz heavy and Ares, erm.... most classes but lets say medic to make it easier!

That really took the fun out of the fastlane match, and as Nirvana said so as we dropped to 6v6 on the final round as patch had to go briefly, a fairer more balanced match took place...

Anyway, was cool, and again cheers Alan

MMMMMMARMALADE.

Eh, it was fun once it got going. Took a while though, in future we should start as soon as we have 6v6.

I'll admit Patch was quite a medic killing asset, but I certainly mowed down enough of you on Fastlane... (ahem)

And finally, as kbramman said, thanks to Alan and I look forward to more in the future.

I think that rule should only be for clanners who play in organised matches against other clans.
My worry with that rule is where does it end? There are many highly skilled regs, should we force Dr Gash to play medic Jesus to play demoman so that everyone else feels the match is 'fair'? Then we might as well force everyone to play a class they're uncomfortable with, and we'd end up with Ladies Nights being rather unenjoyable as everyone would play rather badly.

LAdies night is for the regs, clanners are playing as not enough regs sign up.

I don't think restricting clanners, and I did only say clanners, is that harsh - in Ladies night matches - what they do in clan matches or reg's v clanners is different and tbh, I don't care as much as it there are meant to be clanners in those matches.

The reg's should obviously either play to their strenghts or agree in the teams they are in, I'm not talking about saying gash can't do this, that or the other - and I didn't in my previous post.

Clanners don't necessarily have a higher level of skill than regs as they are not always chosen for their good play.
I thought your point was that having a great player on one team unbalances it, but you are singling out clanners instead of all players. Clanners dont always = good players
