Thanks for running the game tonight Alan.

I have to agree that it had more of a pub feel to it though.

Most of that was due to our team not really getting any sort of game plan together before the match and failed to do so during the games.

I was trying to but only realised my mic wasn't working halfway through the second map. Sorry about that

What didn't help was some of our players changing class midgame without letting anyone know. We only had 1 medic when it was 7v7 for quite some time. In contrast, the other team ran 2 medics when it was 6v6.

I had no problem with Patch playing spy tbh but I do think that class limits need to be stuck to if we want a decent match and players need to stick to their assigned classes unless the team decides things need to be shaken up a bit.

Just my 2 cents.

I did try and get my team on Steamchat an hour before the game, but there was still some class swapping anyway.

Well, tonight was a bit of a mixed bag really. I just have a few general points that people should keep in mind

Please try to show up on time.

Give notice if youre not going to show

Please be ready to join the game. Have the server ip, have the password, make sure your game isnt crashing all the time

Dont jump into a game without announcing yourself, its kinda rude and throws everybody out of whack when we need to be concentrating on playing the game

It is not required that each team sticks to the class allocations. There should be no dictating what people can and cant play, these are fun matches after all. but it would be nice if we could have proper match tactics

The courteous thing to do is let your team know if you are changing class in the middle of a round. This happened a couple of times on both teams i expect, people class hopping every 5 mins. There is no problem with this per se, but, you should let your team know so their strategy can be adjusted

Btw almost forgot to say a big thanks to the extra clanners (slushy [Xmas3] and mehby i think) who showed up and helped us out with admin and making up the numbers. You guys are the bee's knees

Sorry about that, and thankyou for perservering with my retardedness, though I still cannot find the server on the list, even though it is now in my favourites. As for the crashing I cannot really help that, I have restarted my computer and reinstalled graphics drivers, but it still happens on and off.

In my defence I did already know the password ;)

I sincerely hope my non-attendance didn't contribute to any of these problems. I gave as much notice as I could, but I'm sure you can all empathise that real life sometimes presents stuff that interferes. It's happening to me far too much recently (sorry).

On another note though, what's the cause of the late starts?
Is it that 8pm is too early for some (as it will be with me from now on), or is it just lack of preparation on some players parts? Obviously I'd love to carry on playing these, but the only way I can is if we start at 9. I'm not asking for this to happen, but if it is the case that the games would have a better chance of starting on time if they started at 9, then I would definitely be in favour of it.

If the games needed to start later, would it not be better to start at 8:30, the game was underway by then, so we know people can make it and we get an extra 30 mins of play before people start going

There is an open window as such between 8.00 and 8.30, but if you're not there by 8.30 we should just get underway.
