Last time we tried this we ran into a few problems
1. unorganised, no-one knew what was going on and didn't know how to play
2. it didn't work (hopefully jason or minty can help us with this)
3. people who didn't know what we were playing or how to play said it sounded boring or unbalanced

I'll try and make the rules of Zombie clear.
We don't need a modification to the server to play Zombie. All we need is for the server to be passworded with respawn time and teambalance turned off, and the map set to 2fort.

There are two teams, the Zombies (blu) and Survivors(red). If the Zombies manage to kill all Survivors before time runs out then Zombies win. We start the match on 2fort with 3-4 zombies and 8-10 survivors. Zombies can die, respawn, resupply and grab health/ammo as much as they want. Survivors however cannot resupply, grab ammo, eat sandwiches, stand by dispensers or be healed by a medic and when they die they must immediately switch to the Zombie team and become a Zombie.

Rules & Restrictions are
Zombies:
-May only play scout
-May only use bats
-Are allowed one medic if they wish. The medic may not fire needles or use his saw, though he may heal and uber/kritz as he wishes.
-Can use resupply cabinets and health/ammo whenever they want
-May die and respawn whenever they want with no consequences

Survivors:
-No healthpacks, no ammo, no resupply, as soon as you die move to the zombie team.
-May only play solly, pyro, heavy
-May only use shotguns or flares, no sandwich

Once the survivors are down to just 2 left, the restrictions are lifted and they can use health/ammopacks, resupply stations and change to whatever class they wish. All weapons allowed. Once they are killed, zombies win. If the survivors can keep alive until time runs out, they will receive a *special prize* :D . If the zombies can kill them, then the zombies receive a *special prize* :D

We can't really use a mod for this so we're going to have to police ourselves. Please follow the rules laid out, dont grab health if you're a survivor, if we catch you then you'll have to move to zombie team anyway! :P

Post here if you're interested, and could an adminny person please let me know if having respawntime off and teambalance off is possible. Server 3, 8pm, thursday 18th september. If there's any confusion about the rules, read through them carefully and ask a question in this topic.

love the idea can see it becoming more hassle enforcing the rules than worth it especially since spawn camping on the survivor side wud mean they can win by basicaly being afk, but count me in anyway

would be good as a mod, as it is i cant see it happening, or it taking an hour to re explain everything, individuals are intelegent, people are stupid

Aye aye, I suppose seeing as I originally found it, I'll put my seal of approval on this thread.

You all know the prize is me by the way. I come round your house, berate you, then play on your Steam ID for 4 hours and make your stats go to shit.
